What is DHCP??

Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is provides a way to automate and manage the network configuration of desktop computers and other network devices that use the TCP/IP protocol. This protocol reduces system administration workload, allowing devices to be added to the network with little or no manual intervention.

The Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) provides configuration
 parameters to Internet hosts.  DHCP consists of two components: a
 protocol for delivering host-specific configuration parameters from a
 DHCP server to a host and a mechanism for allocation of network
 addresses to hosts.
